MSP 5th Edition
MSP defines a programme as a temporary, flexible organization created to coordinate, direct and oversee the implementation of a set of related projects and activities in order to deliver outcomes and benefits related to the organization's strategic objectives.
A programme is likely to have a life that spans several years. During a programme lifecycle, projects are initiated, run and closed. Programmes provide an umbrella under which these projects can be coordinated.
Programme management does not replace the need for competent project direction and management. Programme and project management are complementary approaches. MSP programmes are all about delivering transformational change. MSP is highly suitable
for business transformation and political/societal change.
Since 2015, Smals has been using MSP 4th for programme management. This webinar "MSP 5th edition" explains the main differences in version 5, released in 2020, and their impact on Smals.
