SMALS STANDARDS Explication de la méthodologie Agile dans l'environnement de développement. Dans le module de base, nous expliquons en quoi consiste la méthode Agile sur la base d'une définition claire. Nous expliquons pourquoi nous appliquons la méthode Agile. Nous présentons également quelques approches Agile telles que Scrum. De même, quelques pratiques Agile comme MoSCoW sont présentées. Dans la suite du module, nous détaillons les aspects "Agile projects", "Agile suitability" et "Agile lessons learned". Ceci chaque fois dans le contexte spécifique de Smals.

MSP 5th Edition

MSP defines a programme as a temporary, flexible organization created to coordinate, direct and oversee the implementation of a set of related projects and activities in order to deliver outcomes and benefits related to the organization's strategic objectives. A programme is likely to have a life that spans several years. During a programme lifecycle, projects are initiated, run and closed. Programmes provide an umbrella under which these projects can be coordinated. Programme management does not replace the need for competent project direction and management. Programme and project management are complementary approaches. MSP programmes are all about delivering transformational change. MSP is highly suitable for business transformation and political/societal change. Since 2015, Smals has been using MSP 4th for programme management. This webinar "MSP 5th edition" explains the main differences in version 5, released in 2020, and their impact on Smals.

Much of it is at risk of becoming insecure in the future due to powerful quantum computers. The current cryptography will have to be replaced by quantum-resistant alternatives. And even then, the crypto migrations will continue. Experience has taught us that such migrations are difficult, slow and expensive processes. Organisations must therefore build crypto agility into their systems: the flexibility to deal with this reality quickly and easily. The session was held in English. The webinar is free but reserved for public sector employees and Smals staff.

Il explique pourquoi le navigateur Tor a été créé et ses avantages pour la protection de la vie privée par rapport à un navigateur classique. Grâce à de nombreux exemples concrets, vous découvrez comment il permet de naviguer sur le dark web et quel type de contenu vous y trouvez. Vous comprenez aussi que le dark web pose un certain nombre de menaces pour le secteur public, comme pour la société en général, mais qu’il offre également l’opportunité à certaines institutions de suivre des secteurs absents du web classique. La session est animée en français, avec des slides anglais. Aucune connaissance spécifique n'est requise : les aspects techniques sont expliqués suffisamment pour permettre à chacun de suivre.

Architecting Tomorrow: a Vision on Event-Driven Architecture

In dit webinar gaan we in de eerste plaats in op waarom EDA belangrijk is, wat EDA precies doet en de plaats die het kan innemen in een toekomstbestendige IT-architectuur zoals wordt nagestreefd in “eGov 3.0”. We focussen vooral op het waarom van EDA, en op welke manier dit paradigma zijn voordelen biedt wanneer het wordt gecombineerd met andere belangrijke ontwerpprincipes. We zullen een “bird’s eye view” ontwikkelen op hoe applicaties op zich, maar ook het ruimere IT-landschap, eruit zouden kunnen zien met een groter gebruik van dit paradigma. Op een aantal zaken zoomen we technisch dieper in om een voldoende ruim begrip van EDA te bekomen, zonder al te veel in detail te gaan. Een greep uit de andere concepten die we op deze manier toegankelijk willen maken via dit webinar: Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event storming, hexagonal architecture, microservices, modular architecture, loose coupling, … Ten slotte kijken we ook naar wat er bij zal komen kijken om “meer” of “voldoende” EDA te hebben in onze portfolio, en op de “mindset shift” die daarbij als belangrijkste nood – en obstakel – naar boven komt.

Quelles sont les principales techniques existantes ? Que permettent-elles de faire ? Quel est leur principe de fonctionnement ? Quelles sont leurs limites ? Cette présentation tente de répondre le plus simplement possible à ces questions. Elle donne des exemples de produits mis à disposition par les industriels du secteur et conclut avec quelques recommandations et mises en garde. Le webinaire est animé en français, avec des slides rédigés en anglais. Une connaissance technique spécifique n’est pas nécessaire.

Of course he gives a small demonstration of what generative AI can and cannot do (yet), but the core question of this webinar is: how do these tools work behind the scenes? We will also discuss some questions that arise on the edge: what about the confidentiality of my code? Is it even my code if I didn't write it myself? What about correctness and maintainability? Evolution is moving fast, so Joachim finally takes a look at what the near future could bring.
